More About Corinne Mitchell

Mitchell has been an avid equestrian for many years with plentiful knowledge of the horse industry. She has ridden hunter/jumpers since the age of 6 and currently serves on the board of directors for the Missouri Hunter Jumper Organization, the state affiliate of the United States Hunter Jumper Association,and the Mid-Illinois Sport Horse Organization. Additionally, Corinne serves as the equine sub-committee chair under council for the United States Humane Society.

When she is not working cases, she actively competes in the jumpers at “A” rated national competitions. Recently, her horse earned 2021 USHJA Zone Horse of the Year recognition. Mitchell had the honor of serving as the assistant coach for the University of Illinois’ Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association hunter/jumper show team from 2011-2015.

Mitchell has ample knowledge surrounding the subject matter of all things equine and studied Animal Sciences as her “minor” in undergrad with a core group of equine-related coursework.

Recent Maximum Award Secured in Arbitration Litigation!

In a case involving breach of lease and boarding contracts and charges for aggravated cruelty to horses pursuant to the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act, the team of Clayborne & Wagner Equine Law secured the maximum $50,000.00 award allowed under the Illinois Arbitration procedure in St. Clair County and further secured their client’s attorney’s fees and costs to be paid by the opponent.
